BIO

Jackie Luke (hammered dulcimer), Greg Wilson (Celtic harp) and the innovative cellist, Rita Woolhouse make up Australia's most distinctive trio. They boast a unique blend of more than 100 strings. Springtide makes regular appearances at festivals and acoustic events around Australia. They toured England and Ireland in 2015, and have completed a successful tour of New Zealand in May 2016.

  • Concert - High Court of Australia

  • 2009 Launched Singing My Family Tree, a unique collection, combining genealogy and music, at Turning Wave Festival. Also featuring Rita Gibson on Cello.

  • 2007 Jackie’s song  River of Tears was a top 5 finalist in the MusicOz Song Comp.

  • 2008 Jackie taught Dulcimer master class at NFF and staged Strike Me Pink dulcimer concert, featuring 3 different kinds of dulcimer

  • 2005 Springtide toured China and performed at the Cimbalom World Association Congress in Beijing

  • 2004 Jackie played dulcimer with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Lord of the Rings Symphony

  • 2004 – 2008 Integral part of  Fellowship of the Strings / Fourth Realm a stellar folk band which toured Australia, and Italy, and was a feature of many festivals throughout Australia

  • 1996 – 2001 Members of  popular Celtic / North American Band Mattawa which was resident at St Albans, Settlers Arms for 4 years

  • 1994 Duo toured North America & UK and Jackie played in a duo with Gillian Alcock at the Cimbalom Congress in Slovakia & International Hackbrett Festival in Germany

  • Many festivals, folk clubs, and concerts since 1992 (too many to list!)
